Kiran Baskar is the Academic Director of Sree Jayam School in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He brings an uncommon perspective to school leadership: a decade of experience spanning cloud engineering, data infrastructure, and enterprise technology, now channelled entirely into building one of the region's most forward-thinking schools.
He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with specialisation in Cloud Computing from VIT Chennai, and spent five years as a Data Engineer at Knowledgelens, Bengaluru, working across AWS, Azure, and Informatica platforms. This technical background informs how Sree Jayam approaches curriculum design, digital learning, and institutional systems.

From enterprise data engineering in Bengaluru to leading a school in Vellore, Kiran's path has been driven by one consistent goal: building things that last.
Academic Director
Leading academic operations, curriculum development, and institutional strategy for one of Vellore's growing schools. Championing the integration of technology into teaching methodologies, mentoring teaching staff, overseeing student assessment frameworks, and ensuring alignment with national education standards. Building a culture of curiosity, rigour, and care within the school community.
Data Engineer
Worked on enterprise cloud and data infrastructure for large-scale clients. Built and maintained ETL pipelines using Informatica IICS and Talend. Worked extensively with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM, as well as Azure services including Virtual Machine, Storage Accounts, MySQL, and Synapse. Maintained Informatica MDM and IDQ infrastructure, monitored eMDM platforms, and managed data migrations between cloud and on-premise systems.
Data Engineering Intern
Converted legacy SQL stored procedures into Informatica Cloud Mapping Tasks within IICS. Designed data integration mappings for HCCB to SFDC CRM and HCCB to SFA migration projects. Used Mapping Designer with transformations including Lookup, Filter, Router, Joiner, Source Qualifier, Expression, and Sequence Generator. Led unit testing to ensure data integrity during UAT phases.
